GROUP CHAIRMAN

CHIEF MICHAEL ANDREW OLORUNFEMI

The Chief received Master of Science in Economics from London School of Economics in 1970.

Prior to founding Mak Mera in 1995, he worked with Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) as a financial analyst from 1973 to 1977 returning as Director of Research from 1989 to 1993, in which role he advised OPEC Oil Ministers on oil and gas production quotas and pricing.

From 1977 through 1988, while acting as a Nigeria representative to OPEC, the Chief also served as an executive in Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) including as Deputy Managing Director, Upstream and as Chairman of NNPC's engineering subsidiary.


He also served as Group Executive Director of National Petroleum Investment Management Services (NAPIMS) supervising Nigeria’s investments in joint venture partnerships with the international oil companies.

PRESIDENT

WALE SOLA

Wale graduated with First Class Honours in Computer Science and Accounting from Ogun State University in 1994 and worked for Schlumberger Geoquest as a consultant. Afterwards he attended University of Leeds, United Kingdom and graduated with Master of Science degree in Distributed Multimedia Systems in 1997.

After postgraduate studies he became a consultant at the Manhattan, Practice of Microsoft Consulting Services, New York, where he was a consultant to Marsh & McLennan, Citicorp and Pitney Bowes among others, a career which continued as software engineer and consultant to Barclays Capital, UBS and Merill Lynch, in the City of London.

Since 2007 he has been responsible for the business growth of MAKMERA.


CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

FEMI OMONIYI

Femi is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

He has held various roles at MakMera, culminating in his recent appointment as the Chief Operating Officer. He is a Chartered Accountant and a recent MSc. Petroleum Economics graduate from University of Aberdeen, Scotland.

 

 

VICE-PRESIDENT, GLOBAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

 

Chris has extensive experience in Africa, spending over 10 years in various African countries managing, planning and executing large scale logistics and operational projects on behalf of the United Nations, Oil and Gas corporations and International agencies. He is an experienced commercial pilot with global aviation management and logistics projects execution expertise.
